Hello friends, maybe someone have wheels or basket for sale for this mower?
Hi Aussie Lawn! I have Greensmaster 800, what do I need to do to adjust the throttle to slow down the speed?
A Rottweiler without its tail docked. Wth.
@@marqueswilsonn it’s illegal to dock a tail in Australia. Adding to that it’s really interesting with Max having his tail you can read so much about his mood by the way he holds that tail even the way he curls up upwards tells me exactly what his feeling / mood etc . I wouldn’t have him another way 😎
@@theaussielawn the docked tail can still wag and tuck and point and alert. That’s dumb that you can’t dock tails. Docked plenty of tails back in the day.
How come you never mulch saves having to get rid of the clippings all the time 🤔
@@70blaze mulching adds to blade wear, its more effort to clean under the mower deck (beyond what the wash port cleans ) clipping tend to be dragged back into the house and I prefer the cleaner look . Bagging gives. And there have been plenty of actual study’s that prove the “fertilising effect “‘of muching is a myth . There is no measure different. On the very rare occasions I will mulch but yeah it’s incredibly infrequent for me.
Hard to argue with this method! Brenton, how do you think it would go on common couch? I have a mixed lawn that I plan on treating with monument or something.
@@Jspec1983 it will work just fine with common couch as it works on all grass ls types mate 😎
This really is a game changer for the masses who can't get a hold of those pesky weeds, IF DONE PROPERLY.
The crescendo of “here’s some over the counter lemon juice” 😜😜 I was expecting some $200 product 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@@michelereid hahahah that’s gold ! But a fair assumption
Great video again Brenton! And lawn looks awesome. Any tips on where to look for second hand Toro cylinder mowers?
@@samhosking319 all the usual haunts , Facebook, Scumtree, toro do sell some used machines too
Thanks for consistently putting out some great Australian content, Brenton.
@@andrewreid5355 wow thanks mate I really appreciate that 😎
Do you think think this pigment is reducing the plant's ability to photosynthesize by covering the leaf blade?
Not at all. It’s actually absorbed into the leaf. The darker pigment allows the lawn to stay about 2c warmer it also come out of winter dormancy much faster due to the heat retention caused by the darker colour
Brenton. What would happen with some hard freezes? Would it keep the color?
@@deanb9233 great question. Yeah absolutely as the pigment is absorbed into the leaf. It can last for up to 3 months
Really appreciate the amazing content! How does one acquire the amazing hoodie you're sporting? Cheers from Omaha, Nebraska USA!
@@GIMow-xz2pf hey mate, I never did any as a merch run because they would work out to be fairly expensive. If you want one send me a message on instagram or Facebook and I’ll figure out what it would cost to get it over to the states .
Tiff tuff for the win again
@@mickdemi6 yeah it’s definitely a great variety 😎
The lawns all look great, would love to see a video doing all the hedges around the yard one day

Another great episode, really enjoyed it as always.
Glad you enjoyed it John 😎
Cant wait for it warm back up mowing every 2nd weekend is so boring i dont know what to do with myself especially when its raining and cold on my weekend of not mowing cant even ride my motorbike 😂

@@traceydean7164 too kind thanks heaps for the compliment
That colour guard has done an amazing job on your lawn Brenton.
Yeah it works really well doesn’t it
Great vid mate, see you at the event next weekend
Cheers mate , I’m super keen can’t wait !
Hey mate, really interesting video. Glad you showed how to remove the staining from the concrete. The lawns are looking great. The cooch lawns on the coast are looking terrible at the moment. Too much rain, it literally hasn't dried out since April. Hoping to come up and see you guy next Saturday.
We have had heaps of rain too. Probably not as much as the coast. It lots for us …
We’re in the height of summer here in the uk it’s hot for once .and your winter still looks better than our summer . Mega episode Brenton again lawn looks ace mate 😊
@@bungydutts cheers mate, enjoy the warm sunny weather while you can. Cause it’s going to be heading our way really soon 😎
Spewing, moved away from the HunterValley 15 years ago to Adelaide..
@@SaGrassman bugger mate 😒
It’s so different than what we have in the states .we won’t get anymore here the factory in North Carolina ceased production and now makes side by side off road vehicles for more profitability . There are still some for sale . I bought 2 HRX217HYAs . They sit new in the box for when I want to get rid of my 1992 mower . My first Honda was in 1982. These last 3 are there plastic deck . It’s really indestructible. I couldn’t imagine life without one ,so I bought 2 more . The top of the line like mine is $999 here. You can get mine with an electric start if you have trouble starting a mower for $1099 U.S. . Great video . So neat to see the different models in different countries . 👍
@@marklloyd4153 it’s a shame you don’t get this range over there. But I think they would cut too low for American tastes
@@theaussielawn yes . I cut my St Augustine grass with wide blades of grass at 4 inches
Came up looking nice. Would be interesting as an experiment to leave the nature strips unpainted to show what it would of looked like.
@@JBA512 I’ve got couch untreated out the back that I can reference on. I’ll do an update soon as I’ve since added a second application
Hi Brenton. Amazing video. I’ve definitely subscribed to your channel l. Mate, I have a buffalo grass that up for its first renovation and I’ve been reading through blogs, websites, forums etc. Seriously overwhelmed by information at the moment and extremely nervous about killing the lawn. Any tips or information on fertiliser, coring, etc would be really appreciated. I live on the central coast so my soil is very sandy. Any help or suggestions would be amazing. Cheers mate
@@adamhampshire9149 firstly thanks for your message , have you seen my buffalo renovation videos there are a few there… provided your lawn gets at least 6hours of direct sun there will be real issues with a buff renovation… but it’s paramount that the lawn is fully growing when you attempt it. So if you did a renovation at the end of Oct it will be fine. Just be cautious about where you get your advice from it’s always best to stick with qualified greens keepers as that’s our field of expertise.
Do you think the 1000 series is wide enough for a 6500 sqft lawn? I’ve been torn between the 1000 and 1600 (26” wide cut) since I’m used to my 27” wide TruCut reel mower. The 1600’s are just much more difficult to find
@@RussC123 if your lawn is reasonably level and a 1600 is in your budget I’d pick that. But if it’s a little more undulating the 1000 will give a more consistent cut. I have both and love the 1600 but there’s not that big a difference between the two
@@theaussielawn definitely helpful- thank you!
I reckon PGR a week before a mow then pigment application?
You killed the lawn !!!
or didi i? 😉
Good stuff. I applied pigment 1 month ago. I can confirm from using it last year that you definitely need to get it on before the grass goes brown. Ps love your TifTuf sign, looks dope.
Hey mate how’s things ? You been a little quiet on your channel of late too. Yeah the tiftuf sign is mint! The pigment is good gear I really like it , actually gave it a top up yesterday. Now it’s next level green haha
@@theaussielawn Good mate. We have an 11 month old.. so ‘me’ time is very limited. I’m at home sick today but maybe this is my best chance to shoot a vid ;) I’ve done two applications this season too. Lawn has grown 1mm in 4 weeks haha. Imo it’s not cheating (especially during winter).
@@larslandscapes and boom he up loads 😎
Just a quick question. I raised this point a few weeks back when you did the video on late season top dress (consequently I did the same on my lawn). What does it mean for the annual scarify? Will there be less thatch because of the late top dress? Thanks, Ashley.
There will be less build up but you will still be able to start the spring off with a usual hard renovation.
Disgraceful!!!!😁😁😁😁 Only Joking! Great video!
Hahaha thanks mate
kind of reminds me of blue marker dye... a single drop goes a long way
Definitely!
Post winter the turf bounces back a lot quicker when it has had Colourguard on it over the cooler months.
I’ve heard this too. 😎
Hey Brenton, you mentioned the PRS had worn out , what ballpark timeframe do you think you got out of it ? Keep up the good work mate. Cheers.
couple of years but my edges are very abrasive with the course sand construction. They kill lots of metal blades haha
@@theaussielawn Cheers mate, appreciate your help.
Love your work mate… You guys in Scone get a lot more frosts than us (central coast) but we’ve had two this week & it’s only late June! Brrrr
Oh wow I didnt think the CC would frost!
I've been considering this, but I never really had the need until 2-3 weeks ago. It's been so cold in QLD that my lawn all of a sudden looks horrible (still best in neighbourhood, I think). I decided to just wait another 4-6 weeks and go full terminator on it for spring. Only because I still can't afford a Porsche.
I spoke to a mate in Toowoomba last night he was saying its been colder than usual this year so I feel for you
Dumb question but can you paint buffalo?
No it's not a dumb question at all. You can use this product on any type of grass.
Cheers mate..might give it a go
I've never understood walking behind a sprayer, leaving footprints etc. I always walk backwards, ensuring that I'm walking on pre-spray rather than post-spray areas. Not specific for painting, but for all spraying.
I understand the thought process but i look at it from a safety perspective. Walking backward with considerable weight on your back full of chemicals is far too risky in my eyes, From tripping / loosing footing and potential for physical injury to wearing said chemicals. For me it's not worth the potential gains from not walking on the sprayed area.
There's probably a lot of leftover in the (first) bottle too.
I definitely agree i actually didn't throw them away either i kept them incase I needed more e.g scrape the bottom of the barrel
Nice one BK! Can see a noticeable difference now between the TT and Santa Ana whereas I feel in peak season they look very similar.
Yeah definitely a difference now and honestly in the peak of the season all couch grasses can look indistinguishable but its during times of duress that cracks can start to appear for some varieties
Very interesting! This is the only time I see adding pigment to a lawn as beneficial when it's a fertilizer blend..
Would you say it's cheating mate?
@@theaussielawn not so much as cheating but an ordinary waste of time and money
@@rainey06au different strokes for different blokes mate.
@@theaussielawn agreed!

Tiff looks 👌 so green😍
Its held up really well cant wait to apply more colour guard 😂😎
So much can be wasted on the measuring jug. I now use a big syringe. It takes a little longer to measure up but squirting it straight into the sprayer means no mess, no (little) clean up.
Ive thought about it too mate esp for the tiny amounts some products call for , Might get some strange looks at the chemist when i go in there hunting some large syringes hahaha

Brenton the lawn looks great. My front tiftuf that doesn't get the lawn solutions product has lost its colour but the back where I have liquid fert applicator in the sprinkler system from lawn solutions is holding reasonable colour. I sprayed spartan preemergent for the first time and my lawn is usually has a lot of winter grass and its very night and day results. Sydney weather is very cold and wet.
It's been a very damp and gloomy winter here too mate. but the damp cloudy conditions have meant ive escaped the frosts so far
